1 Million Downloads!!!

Today we are celebrating passing 1 million downloads for AR Flashcards!!!  We are so excited to be celebrating this milestone and so thankful that so many educators out there have downloaded and used our apps in the classroom.  Every time we see a tweet or a video with kids actively engaged in learning with one of our apps it makes everything worth it.  In 2012 when we launched our first app, Animal Alphabet, we only saw 1k downloads that year.  Since then it has exploded to heights we never dreamed possible. Each year exceeds the previous in downloads and we have so much more planned for the future. There is a major reason that we have seen that growth and it's because of people like Drew Minock, Brad Waid, Leslie Fisher, Joe Marquez, Karen Balbier and so many other great people that have talked about our apps at conventions and in classrooms all over the world.  We can't thank everyone enough for the great support over the last five years. Thank you for sticking with us and of course thank you for downloading!! Heath Mitchell Founder Check out some of the great photos of our apps in the classroom that we collected off Twitter. IMPORTANT-Update Needed for iOS 11

Hello everyone!!  We just wanted to put out a PSA about three of our older apps.  AR Flashcards Animal Alphabet, Space and Shapes/Colors have all been updated to ensure that they stay on the Apple Appstore.  These older apps were built with 32bit architecture and Apple will now only support apps built with 64bit architecture.  This means after iOS 11 is released that our apps may not work and would have been taken down from the store.  The good news is all of these apps have been updated and they all feature either new content or quality of life improvements! Please help us share this info so that we can make everyone aware that NEED to update the app if they already have it!  Thanks! Animal Alphabet- Our flagship app now has 3D letters with each animal so that young learners never lose sight of the letter that are trying learn to identify!  The update also includes new lighting that make the models pop more! Space- This update includes new lighting too as well as a foundation for new content that we will be announcing soon! Shapes/Colors- This update includes new lighting and bug fixes. We have several announcements coming soon about new content and new apps that will be making their way to the Appstore this fall! Heath Mitchell Co-founder

US Presidents Announcement!

This Sunday marks the end of our 2 week birthday celebration and we have one more announcement! A couple days ago we announced that we were bringing Geography to AR Flashcards starting with the US States. Today we would like to announce that we are bringing US History to life with US Presidents! This flash card pack is going to be a departure for us as we are not using 3d models to bring the presidents to life but interactive animations. Each card will be a president's painting and when you bring the app over the painting it will come to life! We are in very early development on this pack and we think it's going to be a fun way for US kids to learn their presidents. The further we get into development the more info we'll share on how this is going to work but we have some great ideas that we can't wait to share!

States – Geography Announcement!

We have another announcement that we think is going to be exciting!  Not only are we working on Colors & Shapes, Basic Math and User Created Flash Cards BUT we are also working on Geography!!  We are working on States and this is probably our most ambitious project that we are working on!  With 50 models and cards to create this is going to be a great undertaking and we are in the planning stages right now!  It's the project we will be putting our fullest attention on after we wrap on Colors & Shapes and Basic Math.  We just wanted to give you guys a small glimpse and we want to be transparent when it comes to our road map for future content! With The States we know that we want to teach kids the States names and the capital city for each state.  We would also like to include state flags and facts pertaining to each state.  We hope to include major rivers, important monuments and more on each model.  We want to hear what you would like to see in this project as we value your input! Our plans are to finish Colors & Shapes and Basic Math by Summer and hopefully States by the end of 2014!  Even with these awesome announcements we still aren't done!  Stay tuned later in the week for one more announcement of yet another subject that we hope to bring AR Flashcards this year! What do you think of our mascot Augmonkey in his explorer gear??

Basic Math Announcement!

As everyone knows we have Colors and Shapes next up in the pipeline for AR Flashcards but also in development is Basic Math!! This is our number one requested subject and we have some cool ideas for the this that we are excited about. Jesiey, our 3d artist, has come up with a great look for our numbers using our favorite theme, animals! We are working on addition, subtraction, division and multiplication! At this time we are working on 0-10 equations (1+1, 1+2, 1+3, etc.) for the Kindergarten level but we welcome suggestions on what you would like to see! This will be part of our huge aggressive initiative this year to expand AR Flashcards into numerous subjects that can make learning fun for young children! Our goal is to have seven new subjects (we count math as four) done by summer which means we still have some announcements to come... So, let's review, we have a create your own flash card mode, colors and shapes and now basic math that will be coming in 2014! Let us know what you think of our concept images and what you as a parent or teacher would like to see in the future.

User Created Flash Cards Announcement!

One of the things we are very excited about that we are adding to AR Flashcards 3.0 is User Created Flash Cards! This means you can take one of our animals and use them to augment your own flash card! The biggest use we see for this is having your child draw their own artwork for them to augment! They will have a blast drawing a picture of a penguin and then having our penguin pop up over their artwork! This is just one of MANY things being added to our upcoming release of AR Flashcards 3.0 that we hope to have ready by June '14. More announcements will be made in the coming weeks and months! Stay tuned! [gallery type="square" ids="554,555,556"] Click for Demo Video

AR Flashcards 2.1 Now Available

Yesterday Apple approved our update for AR Flashcards. This is a small update that includes: - Bug Fixes related to iOS 7 - Buttons now react on touch so you know if you tapped them. - We removed the link to our website to be COPPA Compliant. - We added Flurry Restricted analytics. Flurry's restricted analytics are COPPA Compliant. The data we receive are in generalities. How many users have opened the app and how many times. Location is also in generalities as it only shows what country users are from. No personal information or specific location info is collected. If you have any questions regarding this please contact us at support@mitchlehan.com We have a lot in store for 2014 so stay tuned!!!
