Hello! Today we are releasing AR Flashcards Space 2.0 on both the paid version ($2.99) and the Free Version! We have put a ton of effort into this update and we really think students will love learning about the Apollo 11 space program with our new interactive cards! We used authentic voice recordings from the mission for each card. This is our first app that also uses video in a fun way! Students can land the Lunar Module or dock the Command Module all in immersive augmented reality! If you already own the paid version of Space then this update is entirely free! If you have the free version (Now called AR Flashcards Space Lite) then we are offering all 8 new cards for $2.99 which is the price of the paid version in the store. This also removes ads and guarantees all future updates will be free. We wanted to give people choice and will continue to do so in the future. You can purchase the paid version and get everything or try out the free version to see if you like it and then add on the Apollo 11 cards. Let us know what you think of Space 2.0 and share your screenshots on Twitter with the hashtag #ARFlashcards and tag us, @ARFlashcards! Hello! Mitchlehan Media, LLC is no more! We have changed the name of our company to Peak Reality, LLC. When we set out and founded Mitchlehan Media back in 2012 we thought it would be cool to combine my last name (Mitchell) with my other co-founder's last name (Callahan) and put a French like spin on it. Last year we attended ISTE in Denver, Colorado and while on the top of Mt. Evans we decided that a new company name that better reflects who we are was a good idea. We landed on the name Peak Reality. We love this name and think it rolls off the tongue a little easier than Mitchlehan Media. What becomes of AR Flashcards? Nothing will change. AR Flashcards is our passion. Bringing education to life through the power of augmented reality and other immersive technologies is what we want to do today and forever. To fuel our passion we are now working with other companies to help bring their visions to life. What is on tap for the future? We are currently working on AR Flashcards Subtraction and will be sending out test builds to educators to help us shape the vision. Sign up here if you are interested. We are also working on new content for AR Flashcards Space as well as new content for our flagship app, AR Flashcards Animal Alphabet. The future is bright for Peak Reality and AR Flashcards and we thank you for joining us on the journey! Heath Mitchell CEO Peak Reality, LLC
Today we are celebrating passing 1 million downloads for AR Flashcards!!! We are so excited to be celebrating this milestone and so thankful that so many educators out there have downloaded and used our apps in the classroom. Every time we see a tweet or a video with kids actively engaged in learning with one of our apps it makes everything worth it. In 2012 when we launched our first app, Animal Alphabet, we only saw 1k downloads that year. Since then it has exploded to heights we never dreamed possible. Each year exceeds the previous in downloads and we have so much more planned for the future. There is a major reason that we have seen that growth and it's because of people like Drew Minock, Brad Waid, Leslie Fisher, Joe Marquez, Karen Balbier and so many other great people that have talked about our apps at conventions and in classrooms all over the world. We can't thank everyone enough for the great support over the last five years. Thank you for sticking with us and of course thank you for downloading!! Heath Mitchell Founder Check out some of the great photos of our apps in the classroom that we collected off Twitter. Hello everyone!! We just wanted to put out a PSA about three of our older apps. AR Flashcards Animal Alphabet, Space and Shapes/Colors have all been updated to ensure that they stay on the Apple Appstore. These older apps were built with 32bit architecture and Apple will now only support apps built with 64bit architecture. This means after iOS 11 is released that our apps may not work and would have been taken down from the store. The good news is all of these apps have been updated and they all feature either new content or quality of life improvements! Please help us share this info so that we can make everyone aware that NEED to update the app if they already have it! Thanks! Animal Alphabet- Our flagship app now has 3D letters with each animal so that young learners never lose sight of the letter that are trying learn to identify! The update also includes new lighting that make the models pop more! Space- This update includes new lighting too as well as a foundation for new content that we will be announcing soon! Shapes/Colors- This update includes new lighting and bug fixes. We have several announcements coming soon about new content and new apps that will be making their way to the Appstore this fall! Heath Mitchell Co-founder
We now have a free version of AR Flashcards Space on the Apple Appstore! This new free version comes with all the same cards and models that are available in the paid version. This new free version will be ad supported by Super Awesome ads. Super Awesome is a kids only ad network. These are ads that are safe and from trusted brands like Lego, Hasbro, Nickelodeon and more. Every ad is protected by a parental gate. Parents can rest assured that their kids using our apps will not be taken out to the web unrestricted. If you try the app and like it but don't want to deal with ads then please upgrade to our paid version for only $2.99! [ios_app id="1076193819"]

This Sunday marks the end of our 2 week birthday celebration and we have one more announcement! A couple days ago we announced that we were bringing Geography to AR Flashcards starting with the US States. Today we would like to announce that we are bringing US History to life with US Presidents! This flash card pack is going to be a departure for us as we are not using 3d models to bring the presidents to life but interactive animations. Each card will be a president's painting and when you bring the app over the painting it will come to life! We are in very early development on this pack and we think it's going to be a fun way for US kids to learn their presidents. The further we get into development the more info we'll share on how this is going to work but we have some great ideas that we can't wait to share!
We have another announcement that we think is going to be exciting! Not only are we working on Colors & Shapes, Basic Math and User Created Flash Cards BUT we are also working on Geography!! We are working on States and this is probably our most ambitious project that we are working on! With 50 models and cards to create this is going to be a great undertaking and we are in the planning stages right now! It's the project we will be putting our fullest attention on after we wrap on Colors & Shapes and Basic Math. We just wanted to give you guys a small glimpse and we want to be transparent when it comes to our road map for future content! With The States we know that we want to teach kids the States names and the capital city for each state. We would also like to include state flags and facts pertaining to each state. We hope to include major rivers, important monuments and more on each model. We want to hear what you would like to see in this project as we value your input! Our plans are to finish Colors & Shapes and Basic Math by Summer and hopefully States by the end of 2014! Even with these awesome announcements we still aren't done! Stay tuned later in the week for one more announcement of yet another subject that we hope to bring AR Flashcards this year! What do you think of our mascot Augmonkey in his explorer gear??
As everyone knows we have Colors and Shapes next up in the pipeline for AR Flashcards but also in development is Basic Math!! This is our number one requested subject and we have some cool ideas for the this that we are excited about. Jesiey, our 3d artist, has come up with a great look for our numbers using our favorite theme, animals! We are working on addition, subtraction, division and multiplication! At this time we are working on 0-10 equations (1+1, 1+2, 1+3, etc.) for the Kindergarten level but we welcome suggestions on what you would like to see! This will be part of our huge aggressive initiative this year to expand AR Flashcards into numerous subjects that can make learning fun for young children! Our goal is to have seven new subjects (we count math as four) done by summer which means we still have some announcements to come... So, let's review, we have a create your own flash card mode, colors and shapes and now basic math that will be coming in 2014! Let us know what you think of our concept images and what you as a parent or teacher would like to see in the future.
